Barbados

1. Minimum residency period prior to marriage Although there is no minimum residency for Barbados, we would recommend 3-4 working days before the wedding takes place so that arrangements can be made comfortably. 2. Documents Required You and your partner will each need: • Valid original 10-year UK passport which expires more than 6 months after the date of your return to the UK. • Original birth certificate. • For a Roman Catholic Ceremony, the relevant documents must be sent by your bishop to the bishop of Bridgetown. • Airline tickets used to travel to the Island, including return tickets. • If you have been divorced, the original decree absolute. • If you have been widowed, the original copy of your partner’s death certificate along with your original marriage certificate. • If you have changed your name, the original copy of the deed poll proof of name change will be required. Please note that if you have been divorced and have reverted to using your maiden name then this counts as a change of name, and proof of that change will be required. • If you were adopted, the original copy of your adoption certificate. • Where necessary, all documents not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation. 3. Before you travel We do not require any documents to be sent in advance. ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU WHEN YOU TRAVEL. 4. When you get there You will need to visit the Ministry of Home Affairs in Wildey, St Michael to apply for your marriage licence. Please note that some wedding packages may not include the transfer cost to the Ministry

Cyprus

1. Minimum residency period prior to the marriage A minimum residency of 3 working days is required for a civil ceremony prior to the marriage to complete the necessary legal formalities. 5 working days is required for a religious ceremony. 2. Documents required You and your partner will each need • Valid original 10 –year UK passport which expires more than 6 months after the date of your return to the UK • Original birth certificate • Sworn Affidavits – Statement signed and stamped by a solicitor confirming both parties are free to marry. This must be prepared one month or less before your wedding date. • If you have been divorced, the original decree absolute • If you have been widowed, the original copy of your partner’s death certificate along with your original marriage certificate • If you have changed your name, the original copy of the deed poll proof of name change will be required. Please note that if you have been divorced and reverted to using your maiden name then this counts as a change of name, and proof of that change will be required. • If you were adopted, the original copy of your adoption certificate. • Copies of your witnesses’ passports will be required to be added to the wedding licence form. • Original baptism/christening certificate (for church weddings only) • Notice of Marriage – this must be submitted to a marriage officer prior to your wedding. • Original statutory declaration. This must be made less than 12 weeks before the date on which you return to the UK and must state the following information. 3. Before you travel We do not require any documents to be sent in advance ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU WHEN YOU TRAVEL. 4. When you get there You will need to apply for a marriage licence at the town hall; your personal wedding coordinator will assist with the process. Ayia Napa and Paralimni Town Hall weddings take place no later than 14.30. Ayios Elias Gardens weddings take place from 14.00 onwards, Hotel weddings can take place from 11.00 onwards for Ayia Napa and 14.00 onwards for Paralimni Paphos, Geroskipou, Peyia and Yermasoyia Town Hall weddings take place before 2pm. The cost to have a town hall wedding after 2pm is and additional fee of €170, payable locally. Mauritius

1.Minimum residency period prior to marriage It is advisable to arrive in Mauritius 3-4 working days (excluding weekends or Public Holidays) prior to your wedding to complete the paperwork and make the necessary arrangements. 2.Documents Required You and your partner will each need: • Valid original 10-year UK passport, which expires more than 6 months after the date of your return to the UK. • Original birth certificate. A recent copy of the birth certificate must also be obtained from the Register Office (dating less than 3 months prior to the wedding date) as this will need to be presented for the Civil Wedding formalities. Please note that if it is not possible to obtain a recent copy of the birth certificate, it will be necessary to have an affidavit prepared and sworn in the UK prior to travel. • If you have been divorced, the original decree absolute. • If you have been widowed, the original of your partner’s death certificate, along with your original marriage certificate. • If you have changed your name, the original deed poll proof of name change will be required. Please note that if you have been divorced and have reverted to using your maiden name then this counts as a change of name, and proof of that change will be required. • If you were adopted, the original copy of your adoption certificate. • Application To Marry form which will be supplied in your wedding information portfolio If the Bride has been divorced for less than 300 days, she will be required to take a pregnancy test in resort (at an approximate cost of £30, payable locally). If the test is positive the wedding will not be able to take place. NOTE: FOR NON-UK CITIZENS Extra documentation and extra charges may apply to non-UK citizens getting married in Mauritius. It is therefore very important to advise your nationality at the time of booking so that any extra requirements and charges can be advised to you as soon as possible. Also, for non-UK citizens, your wedding certificate will need to be apostilled at the Prime Ministers Office, so that it is internationally recognised. There will be a small charge for this service, payable locally. 3.Before you travel Please send copies of the above documents to us 10 weeks before the date of travel. ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU WHEN YOU TRAVEL. 4. When you get there You will be required to visit the Civil Status Office in Port Louis to complete the necessary legal formalities.
